I have a desktop that cannot connect to the internet right now. But I have a D-link USB device that can connect it to my WiFi that I pick up here in my apt. How can I download the right driver
for my device and then put it on my desktop so that I can connect to the internet?
if you don't have the disc that came with the device (or no way to run it) you can fusb device driver downloadind the driver on line at
figure out which device you have and click on that one, on the next page, click on 'support resources"
you may have to determine which revision you have, click on that one, on the next page you can find a link to download the driver
hopefully there are some numbers somewhere on your device
and as the other answerer observed, usb device driver downloadyou'll have to download the drivers unto an external drive
or connect your desk top by wire to your router, there are couplers available and different lengths of ethernet cables, if you are too far from your modem or router
You obviously have to use another computer that is on the internet to do that. Then transfer with a USB key or cd rom.
